Gloves, Blue Roll, Till Rolls and Hand Towels: Everyday Supplies for a Cafe or Takeaway
Boxes and cups are only part of the order. A kitchen also runs through gloves, wiping paper, hand towels, toilet rolls and till rolls, and running out of any of them stops work. This guide lists the everyday supplies we stock, with the sizes and pack quantities from the product pages.
Disposable gloves
Our black nitrile gloves come in medium, large and extra large, all in packs of 100. Nitrile is a synthetic rubber, so they are latex-free, and they are powder free, so no powder is left on food, hands or worktops. They are ambidextrous (each glove fits either hand), about 24 cm long, and the black colour hides marks. The product pages list them for food preparation and serving, cleaning and general handling. Blue roll
Blue centrefeed roll is the everyday wiping paper for spills, worktops and equipment. The paper is embossed, 2-ply and about 17.5 cm wide, and the blue is easy to spot in food areas. Pick the length for your space: 80 m rolls are lighter and smaller where storage is tight, and 150 m rolls last longer between changes. Both come as a pack of 6, for centrefeed dispensers or standing on a worktop. See centrefeed rolls.
Hand towels and toilet rolls
The green C-fold hand towels are 1-ply and fold into a C shape so a sleeve loads straight into a C-fold dispenser. A case holds 2,640 towels in 15 sleeves of 176. For washrooms, the 3 ply white toilet rolls are quilted, standard size and come in a case of 45.
Till rolls: which size?
Check your machine before you order. The 80 x 80 mm roll (case of 20, 1.27 cm core) is for EPOS receipt printers and cash registers that take 80 mm rolls. The 57 x 40 mm roll (case of 50) is for card machines, PDQ terminals and small tills that take 57 mm rolls. Both are thermal paper, which prints with heat, so there is no ink or ribbon to change.
