Pizza Box Grease Liners: Which Size for 7 to 15 Inch Boxes?
Hot pizza, cheese and oil can soak into the card of a box and leave a stain, or make the base stick. A liner is a square sheet of white greaseproof paper placed under the pizza to help keep grease off the card and the base from sticking to it. They are cheap, quick to use and sized to match the box.
Match the liner to the box
Liners are made as squares sized to a pizza box, so choose the same size as your box. The sizes we stock, all plain white greaseproof paper:
- 7 inch liner: 17.8 x 17.8 cm
- 9 inch liner: 22.9 x 22.9 cm
- 12 inch liner: 30.5 x 30.5 cm
- 14 inch liner: 35.6 x 35.6 cm
- 15 inch liner: 38.1 x 38.1 cm
Each product page shows the pack. If your menu has several pizza sizes, you need one liner size for each box size.
Our plain pizza boxes
We sell plain brown kraft corrugated pizza boxes in 7 inch, 9 inch, 10 inch and 12 inch, in cases of 100. We do not list a 10 inch liner, so for a 10 inch box try the 9 inch or the 12 inch liner on one box before ordering a case. Our pizza box sizes guide explains how to match a box to the pizza.
When a liner helps most
- Very oily toppings such as pepperoni or extra cheese, where grease collects at the base.
- Delivery: a pizza that sits in a delivery bag has longer to to soak the card.
- Garlic bread and baked goods: the liners are also used to line trays and boxes for these.
- Presentation: a clean white sheet under the pizza looks neater when the lid opens.
A simple way to order
- List every pizza size on your menu and the box you use for each.
- Choose the liner size that matches each box: 7, 9, 12, 14 or 15 inch.
- Order one case of each size to begin with, then reorder the sizes you use most.
- Keep the liners in a clean, dry place near the boxes so one can be dropped in as each box is folded.

Using them
The liners go under hot pizza. Place one flat in the base of the box before the pizza goes in, then close the lid as usual. They are plain, with no print. For a branded finish, custom printed pizza boxes are available separately.
