Pizza Box Sizes: 7 to 16 Inch Guide
A pizza box should fit the pizza with a small gap, not swim around it. Boxes are sized in inches to match the pizza. The usual sizes are 7, 9, 10, 12, 14 and 16 inch, and you want one box for every size on your menu.
Our pizza box sizes
We stock plain brown pizza boxes in 7, 9, 10 and 12 inch, in cases of 100, and printed brown pizza boxes in 10 and 12 inch, in cases of 90. Browse the whole range in pizza boxes and liners.
Do you need a grease liner?
A grease liner is a sheet that sits under the pizza and absorbs oil, so the base stays clean and the box does not soak through on a longer delivery. Our liners come in 7, 9, 12, 14 and 15 inch, in cases of 2000. They are a low-cost addition for oily toppings such as pepperoni or extra cheese.
Plain or printed?
Plain brown boxes are the cheapest and work well when you are starting. A printed box with your logo turns every delivery into advertising, and customers keep seeing the name on the kitchen table. Our printed stock boxes are a simple first step; for your own design see bespoke pizza boxes, which can be printed to your design in house.
Tips for ordering
- Order each size in proportion to what you sell: most shops sell far more of one or two sizes than the rest.
- Measure your pizza, not your oven tray. A 12 inch pizza needs a 12 inch box.
- Keep boxes flat and dry; damp boxes lose strength.
