Coffee Cup Sleeves: Sizes, Fit and Which Cups to Use Them On
A single wall cup of fresh coffee can be too hot to hold comfortably. A cup sleeve puts a layer of card between the drink and your customer's hand. The catch is that sleeves come in sizes, and the wrong one slips off or will not go on. This guide shows which of our sleeves fits which cup.
Two sizes, matched to cup size
- 6/8oz brown kraft sleeves: fit 6oz and 8oz single wall cups; the band is about 5 cm tall.
- 12/16oz brown kraft sleeves: fit 12oz and 16oz single wall cups; the band is about 6 cm tall.
Both come in a case of 1,000 sleeves.
What they are made from
Both sizes are corrugated kraft card in natural brown. The fluted side sits against the cup and traps air, and the smooth kraft face stays on the outside. Slide a sleeve up the cup from the base until it grips, and the drink is ready to hand over.
Which cups to pair them with
Sleeves are for single wall hot drink cups. Our 12oz white single wall coffee cups suit the 12/16oz sleeve. For small drinks such as flat whites, cortados and small teas, the 6/8oz sleeve fits 6oz and 8oz cups. Plain or printed with your logo
The sleeves are supplied plain, and custom printing with your logo is available. A printed sleeve is a low-cost way to brand a hot drink without printing the cup itself. See bespoke printing.
How many to order
Cases of 1,000 are plenty for most single cafes, so one case per cup size is a sensible first order. Order sleeves with your cups so the sizes line up.
