Smoothie, Milkshake and Iced Coffee Cups: Sizes, Lids and What to Order
Cold drinks need a different cup from hot ones. If you sell smoothies, milkshakes, iced coffee or juices, a clear cup shows off the drink and a domed lid suits drinks with cream or toppings. This guide sets out the cups and lids we stock for cold drinks, with the sizes and case quantities from the product pages.
Two cup sizes
We stock two clear PET cups, both in a case of 1,000:
The 12oz suits a regular smoothie or a child's milkshake. The 16oz is the larger serving for a full milkshake or a big iced coffee.
Choosing between 12oz and 16oz
Many drinks counters stock both. Use the 12oz for a smaller smoothie, a juice or a kids' milkshake, and the 16oz for a full milkshake, a large iced coffee or a smoothie with extra fruit. Because both cups share the 98 mm rim, you only need to stock one type of lid, which keeps storage and ordering simple. The cups are stackable, so a case of 1,000 takes up less shelf space than you might expect, and nested stacks are quick to grab at a busy counter.
One lid fits both
Both cups have a 98 mm rim, so one lid fits either size: the 12/16oz clear dome lid. It snaps on, is domed and has a cross-cut straw hole. Lids come in a case of 1,000 and are sold separately from the cups, so remember to add them to the same order.
Cold drinks only

Straws
The dome lid has a cross-cut straw hole, so you will need straws. Look at the straws range and choose a diameter that suits the drink: a thicker straw is better for a thick milkshake or smoothie. Check the product page for the diameter before you order.
Recycling
The cups are clear PET (plastic 1), which can be recycled where your local plastic recycling accepts cups. Empty and rinse first.
Building a cold drinks order
A simple starter order is one case of 12oz cups, one case of 16oz cups, one case of the dome lids and straws. If customers carry several drinks, add cup holders. A full list of the range is under smoothie cups.
