A cafe or deli sells food that is made fresh, boxed quickly and often eaten cold. The right container shows the food, closes properly and stacks on the shelf. This guide covers the containers we stock for salads, pasta, soups and grab-and-go lunches, with real sizes and case quantities.
Hinged salad containers
Our hinged salad containers are clear PET with the lid attached, so there is no separate lid to match. They come in six sizes: 250cc, 375cc, 500cc, 750cc, 1000cc and 1250cc. Cases hold 500 of the 250cc, 375cc and 500cc, 400 of the 750cc and 1000cc, and 200 of the 1250cc. The closed containers stack. They are not leakproof, so they suit salads, pasta, fruit and coleslaw rather than soups or loose sauces.
A simple way to use the range: 250cc for fruit pots and sides, 500cc for a standard salad, 750cc or 1000cc for pasta and larger lunches, and 1250cc for a full meal or sharing portion.
Deli bowls for soups, noodles and poke
For hot or cold dishes that need a deeper bowl, round deli bowls come in 750ml, 1000ml and 1300ml kraft, plus a 1300ml black bowl with a white inside. Every case holds 300 and the bowls nest to save storage space. Lids are sold separately: the clear dome lid fits the 750ml and 1000ml kraft bowls and the clear flat lid fits the 1300ml bowls. Order one case of lids for each case of bowls.
Sauces, dressings and dips
Dressings and dips go in their own sauce pots: clear 1oz and 2oz hinged pots in cases of 1,000 and a 4oz hinged pot in cases of 500, all with the lid attached. Keeping dressing separate stops a salad going soggy before the customer eats it.
Hot food and sandwiches
For hot lunches, kraft food boxes in No5 small and No8 medium (cases of 300) and microwave containers (cases of 250 with a push-on lid) cover the range. Wraps and greaseproof bags suit sandwiches, baguettes and pastries.
Cutlery, serviettes and drinks
- Birchwood forks, knives and dessert spoons, 1,000 to a case, for hot and cold food.
- Serviettes in 1 ply (cases of 5,000) and 2 ply (cases of 2,000).
- Clear smoothie cups in 12oz and 16oz with dome lids, cases of 1,000, for cold drinks only.
- Coffee cups, lids and sleeves for hot drinks.
How much to order
Count how many of each container you use in a normal week, multiply by four and round up to whole cases. Start with your two best-selling sizes rather than the whole range, and use samples if you want to try a container first.
