About this product
These round board lids are made for our No12 7 inch round aluminium containers. Each lid is about 17.8 cm (7 inch) across, with a plain white board top and an aluminium foil lining on the underside that faces the food.
To close a container, set the lid on the filled container, foil side down, and fold the foil rim over its edge all the way round. That holds the lid in place on the way to the customer, while the foil lining helps keep hot food warm and holds back grease and moisture. The lid sits flat, so closed containers stack neatly in a takeaway bag, fridge or freezer, and the white top leaves room to note the dish or order number.
- Fits No12 7 inch round foil containers
- Board top, foil-lined underside
- Flat, stackable lid
- 400 lids per case
The No12 containers are sold separately, also in cases of 400, so one case of lids matches one case of containers. Lift the lid off before reheating in an oven, and keep foil lids and containers out of the microwave.
Questions
Which containers do these lids fit?
Our No12 7" round aluminium containers, which hold about 920 ml. They are not made for our rectangular or square foil containers, which have their own lids.
Are the containers included?
No, the case holds 400 lids only. The No12 round containers come in cases of 400, so one case of lids covers one case of containers.
How do the lids stay on?
Place the lid foil side down on the filled container, then press the container's foil rim down over the lid edge all the way round.
Can the lid go in the oven or the microwave?
Take the board lid off before the container goes in the oven, and do not put it in a microwave, as it has a foil lining. It can go in the fridge and freezer.
