About this product
These 1000ml microwavable containers are made from heavy duty clear polypropylene (PP), a plastic widely used for hot takeaway food. At 1000ml (1 litre) they take family portions and sharing dishes, large salads, a big portion of rice for the table, or batch-cooked meals for the freezer.
Each container comes with a clear lid that pushes on around the rim and closes tightly, which helps stop spills on the way to the customer. The containers go from fridge or freezer to microwave, so customers can reheat food in the same tub; just loosen or remove the lid before heating. With lids on, filled containers stack neatly in a delivery bag, fridge or freezer.
- 1000ml heavy duty PP container
- Clear push-on lid with every container
- Microwave and freezer safe
- 250 containers per case
The same heavy duty range also comes in 500ml, 650ml and 750ml.
Questions
Are the lids included?
Yes. Every container comes with its own clear push-on lid, so there is nothing extra to order.
Can the containers go in the microwave?
Yes, they are made for reheating. Loosen or lift the lid first so steam can escape, and take care as the food and container will be hot.
Can I freeze food in them?
Yes. They suit batch cooking and meal prep. Let hot food cool, put the lid on, then freeze.
What fits in a 1000ml container?
A family or sharing portion, a large salad, a big portion of rice, or a batch-cooked meal for the freezer. For single main meals, the 650ml and 750ml sizes are usually enough.
