About this product
These rectangular board lids are made for our No2 aluminium foil containers, the everyday single-portion size at about 450 ml. Each lid is roughly 14 x 11.5 cm with rounded corners, a plain white board top and an aluminium foil lining on the underside that faces the food.
Curry houses, Chinese takeaways and caterers use No2 containers for curries, rice, noodles, pasta and stir-fries. To close one, lay the lid on the filled container and fold the foil rim over its edge all the way round. The foil lining helps keep food warm and holds back grease and moisture, while the white top gives staff room to write the dish or order number, which saves time when one bag holds several meals.

No, the case holds 1000 lids only. The No2 containers come in cases of 1000, so one case of lids covers one case of containers.
Can I write on the lids?
Yes. The top is plain white board, so a marker pen works well for labelling dishes or order numbers.
Can the lid go in the oven or the microwave?
Take the lid off before the container goes in the oven, and do not put it in a microwave, as it has a foil lining. It can go in the fridge and freezer.
